2016 NBB ALL STAR INFORMATION
The 3rd Annual NBB All Star Competition is roughly around 140 days away (4 and a half months). That may seem like a long time away but the start of a new year means the road to the All Star Weekend and names of players from the activities and games are being rumored. At this time, there is no words on any players who will be participating in any of the events or even if there will be any All Star activities such as the Three Point Contest and Slam Dunk Showcase. There is, however, a lot of talk of the players who will be in the All Star game. NBB Chairman/Player Anthony Grandinetti says he will being doing everything in his power to get all All Star players in the league to be in the game. He named a few players such as Ben Donahue, Joe Layaou, Jon Weybrecht, Tony Molitoris, Michael Lyons, Anthony Khoudary and even himself. He also says he wants to see former All Star players such as Zach Patterson, Jimmy Stepanski, Jude Height, etc. all join. He even mentioned adding Jason Stachokus, a upcoming scouting player who AG believes will "dominate". There is still plenty of time before the All Star Competition, so over all this time, we will keep you updated on anything surround the 2016 All Star Game and Activities.

2012 NBB MVP ROB FORMOLA RETIRESThe 2012 NBB League MVP has officially retired for the league. He was a member of the Durantulas from 2012-2013 and played with All Star Tony Molitoris. They made it all the way to the semi-finals in 2012 but failed short to the Spurs (aka the Red Mambas). Rob averaged around 13 points a game and was a star player not only on the team but in the league. He won the League MVP that year. He was part of the Player Overalls that was formed in 2015 and was a 92 overall. His contracted ended at the end of the 2015 season and he failed to re-sign with the league. We thank his time in the league and he will be marked down as the first player to enter the NBB Hall of Fame.

MICHAEL LYONS SIGNS 2-YEAR DEAL WITH THE MONARCHSNewly formed team, the Monarchs, look to make an impact this year as they reach an agreement with All Star Michael Lyons for a 2-year deal. The Monarchs also have their eyes on inactive free-agent rookie Jason Stachokus who hasn't signed a contract with the NBB but rumor has it he's considering it. If the Monarchs can get him, they would have 2 power-houses who could take this league by storm...that's what is seem to be though.

JON WEYBRECHT ACCEPTS 1-YEAR DEAL WITH THE CANADIANSFormer NBB All Star MVP Jon Weybrecht has reached a 2-year deal with the Canadians. This will be the second time he visited this team being a member back in 2013. Since then, Weybrecht created a team but failed terribly with that. He was then injured late in the 2015 year and his team didn't make it passed the first round. Now Jon hopes to turn things around as he teams up with long time All Star partner Ben Donahue for the second time in hopes of winning a championship. He agrees to only a 1-year deal to see how things work out.

BEN DONAHUE SIGNS 4-YEAR MAX CONTRACT WITH THE CANADIANSBig Ben has missed the almost the whole entire 2014 season with a contract contract block (which allows a player to not sign with a team until that player re-signs with the NBB). Ben officially re-signed with the NBB late July and has been a free-agent this season. On September 20th, Ben agreed to return back to the 3X Championship team the Canadians. He formally played for them from 2010-2013. He played shortly with the Lightning in 2014 before his contracted got waived. He was given a max 4-year deal by the Canadians and now has returned home to place with it all started.

AG SIGNS 2-YEAR DEAL WITH THE TAKEOVERSFree Agent Anthony Grandinetti leaves Canadians and finalizes a 2-year deal with the Takeovers on August 29th. Rumors have been sky high ever since his loss in the 2015 NBB Finals on August 1st against the Red Mambas. AG spent his beginning career with the Canadians, being in the Finals 4 times and winning 3 championship with them: 2010, 2011, & 2014. He played with star players such as Ben Donahue, Christo Huntington, and Jon Weybrecht. He lead the Canadians to the Finals in 2014 and won being the MVP of that Finals...all by himself might I add. He entered Free Agency on August 13th and got offers from all teams. "It is a decision that was best for me. I have to do what i feel will help my career. I have nothing but respect for the Canadians organization and I wish them best in the future. I look forward to playing for the Takeovers and I'm excited to experience the road ahead." said Anthony Grandinetti after his decision on August 29th.

Jude Height finished the final game with 4 points and 4 assists. Jimmy finished with 5 points and 2 assists. And Dyaln Weybrecht finished with 7 points, 2 assists and 3 rebounds. Dylan Weybrecht was MVP.

Mambas Shock The CandiansWeeks before the Finals, Anthony Grandinetti had high expectations in this year's Finals. His plan was looking good with a good 3-team. Things ended up turning in the wrong direction for him though. Jon Weybrecht injured his knee and Ben Donahue couldn't make the Finals on time having Brendan Kennedy fill in for him. Then the nightmare started. The Red Mambas built a starting 3 and literally destroyed every team in their way. "They played team basketball all the way through the Finals. That is why they won." said Anthony Grandinetti. No one expected the Mambas to win but they did in convincing fashion.

NBB2k16 looks epic!2016's edition of the NBB video game looks amazing. With 3 of NBB's biggest stars on the front: Jon Weybrecht (left), Ben Donahue (middle), and Anthony Grandinetti (right). Ben Donahue being the more experienced player on a cover of a video game as he was on last years cover of NBB2k15. From what we know, the game will consist of several options. The main one being "Fantasy Career" where you can become an NBB star. Also there will be "Fantasy Coach" and "Fantasy Team" as options. The new options are "Road To Finals" where you can do a Fantasy Draft and have your picked players team up and battle their way to the Finals. "Shoe Craftsman" where you can design your own shoe. And "Jukebox" where you can select from over 50 songs of all styles.
